EQS-Ad-hoc: Hörmann Industries GmbH / Key word(s): Change in Forecast/Preliminary Results HÖRMANN Industries exceeds sales and earnings forecast for the past financial year 2023 according to preliminary figures
Based on preliminary figures, the Group generated consolidated sales of around € 830 million in 2023 (2022: € 685.7 million), operating earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (operating EBITDA) adjusted for non-recurring effects of around € 42 million (2022: € 35.3 million) and adjusted operating earnings before interest and taxes (operating EBIT) of around € 29 million (2022: € 23.7 million). The forecast specified on November 30, 2023 for total sales (€ 730 million to € 770 million), adjusted operating EBITDA (€ 34 million to € 36 million) and adjusted operating EBIT (at the previous year's level) will therefore be exceeded. Operating EBITDA and operating EBIT were adjusted for a non-recurring expense of around € 7 million from the sale of the loss-making HÖRMANN Automotive Eislingen GmbH, which was completed as of November 1, 2023. In addition to inflation-related price increases, the growth in sales is attributable to significantly higher production volumes in the Automotive division and the conclusion of multi-year project orders, primarily in the Communication and Intralogistics divisions. In terms of earnings growth, HÖRMANN Industries also benefited from higher-than-expected demand in the fourth quarter of 2023. The final consolidated financial statements of HÖRMANN Industries GmbH for the 2023 financial year will be published on April 30, 2024.
