Bitcoin (USD)

Bitcoin (BTC) is the world's leading cryptocurrency, which was launched in 2009. Developed as a decentralized payment system, Bitcoin is based on blockchain technology, which makes transactions secure and transparent. Over the years, Bitcoin has experienced a considerable increase in value and is used both as a digital means of payment and as an asset class. There are a variety of trading venues for Bitcoin, including exchanges and peer-to-peer platforms.
Limiting the maximum amount of Bitcoin to 21 million and halving the incentive for mining every four years are important features that limit supply and potentially increase value. Despite its volatility, Bitcoin has the potential to play a significant role in the global financial system and is increasingly accepted by investors and companies.

The data is compiled with great care and subjected to quality checks at regular intervals. At a technical level, a large number of calculations sometimes require highly complex process sequences that have been designed to correspond to the respective data processing concept. If you notice inconsistencies during use, it is highly likely that this is only a temporary restriction. If this assumption is not confirmed and the view displays incorrect or incomplete data for a period longer than 24 hours, please inform us via the 'Report a Bug' function above the footer.
