Result of the 2022 annual audit of Varengold Bank AG still open
  • Annual General Meeting must be postponed

Hamburg, 29 June 2023 – Due to the ongoing special audit of business operations pursuant to Section 44 (1) sentence 2 of the German Banking Act (KWG) by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, as auditors for the financial year 2022, has not yet been able to complete the necessary audit procedures at Varengold Bank AG (symbol: VG8), meaning that the annual report 2022 cannot be published within the scheduled deadline until end of June 2023. In addition, the bank has not yet been given the prospect of a concrete end of the audit in the foreseeable future. The Annual General Meeting will therefore not be able to take place on 30 August 2023 as planned.

The Bank will keep the capital market informed about the progress of the audits and the convening of the next Annual General Meeting.
