Delistings

This overview includes companies that are no longer tradable on the stock exchange. There may be various reasons or motivations for delisting a company. Frequent reasons are takeovers or mergers, but also voluntary measures, e.g. if requirements or costs for a company are no longer in reasonable proportion to the benefits. Insolvencies are also a cause that inevitably lead to a withdrawal from the stock market.

Companies that have been delisted from a stock exchange can be found in this overview. Delisting from a stock exchange does not necessarily mean that shares are no longer tradable. After delisting, e.g. on the NASDAQ, trading can continue on the PinkSheets (OTC). The reference exchange on which trading was discontinued can be derived from the MIC code.
