Following elections at today‘s 33rd Extraordinary General Meeting of EVN AG, Reinhard Wolf will take over as President and Chairman of the Supervisory Board. The new 1st Vice-Chairman is Jochen Danninger, and Willi Stiowicek remains in the function of 2nd Vice-Chairman. In addition, Veronika Wüster was elected to the Supervisory Board.

The previous President and Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, Bettina Glatz-Kremsner, who had headed this corporate body since 2016, resigned at the end of this General Meeting as did Vice-Chairman Norbert Griesmayr and Friedrich Zibuschka.

The Chairman of the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board express their thanks on behalf of the company for the successful and trusting cooperation. This assistance ranged from the realisation of numerous major projects and the company’s reorientation in connection with the Strategy 2030 to reposition EVN as an enabler of the renewable energy future and a successful international environmental services provider.

At the constituent meeting of the Supervisor Board, EVN Executive Board member Franz Mittermayer requested the premature termination of his employment contract. “After more than 30 years with the EVN Group and my upcoming 66th birthday, I would like to conclude my active career at the end of March 2024. I have decided to announce this step now to allow sufficient time to search for a successor.“

EVN Supervisory Board President Reinhard Wolf: “I would like to personally thank President Bettina Glatz-Kremsner, Vice-Chairman Norbert Griesmayr and Supervisory Board member Friedrich Zibuschka for their many years of work on the Supervisory Board. At this time, we would also like to thank Franz Mittermayer for his active commitment to EVN over these many decades. His loyalty was especially demonstrated during the past two years in a difficult environment that was shaped by a pandemic and an energy crisis. The expansion of sustainable water supplies in large parts of Lower Austria stands, in particular, for Franz Mittermayer’s dedication and efforts. Supply security for energy and drinking water are two of EVN’s most important responsibilities and one of the greatest challenges for the coming decades.“

Bettina Glatz-Kremsner: “I am very pleased to put my responsibilities in good hands. The cooperation between the Supervisory Board, Executive Board and employees in the interest of the company has been excellent in the past, and I am convinced EVN is well positioned to meet the challenges of the future.“

The position on the Executive Board will be advertised on a timely basis in accordance with the Austrian Law on Transparency in the Filling of Positions in State-Affiliated Companies (“Stellenbesetzungsgesetz”).
