Orell Füssli Acquires Verlag SKV AG and further Expands its Position in the Swiss Education Market Zurich, 04.03.2025 - The Orell Füssli Group is acquiring Verlag SKV AG, a leading Swiss provider of learning media for commercial and business education. The acquisition represents a further step in the implementation of the growth strategy in the attractive learning media market and strengthens Orell Füssli's position in the Swiss education sector. The demand for teaching and learning media is vast and offers various potentials which are not yet being exploited. With this acquisition Orell Füssli is significantly expanding its existing publishing portfolio, which already includes learning media for various school and educational levels as well as legal media, and is thus fostering its position as Switzerland's leading private provider of learning media. The SKV’s publishing programme is an ideal addition the existing offering of Orell Füssli and will remain on the market under its strong own brand. The SKV publishing house will continue to be run by the existing management team in Zurich and all employees will be taken over. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
