The SIX-listed Highlight Event and Entertainment AG, a leading international company, substantially increased Group sales in the Film, Sports and Event segments in the first half of the 2022 reporting period. Consolidated sales increased by 29.5 % to CHF 268.5 million. EBIT amounted to CHF -7.6 million due to production-related Group expenses. The Film segment increased its sales by 55.7 % in the first six months of 2022, from CHF 121.6 million to CHF 189.3 million, thanks to the positive development of service productions. The Board of Directors of the HLEE Group has decided to combine the Sports segment (Group companies Sport1 Medien AG, WBSS AG) and the Sports- and Event-Marketing segment (Group companies TEAM Group, Highlight Event AG) in the Sports and Event segment as of January 1, 2022. Mainly due to currency effects, sales revenue was CHF 78.9 million compared to CHF 85.1 million in the previous year. Equity decreased from CHF 265.9 million at year-end 2021 to CHF 243.0 million, while the equity ratio was essentially unchanged at 30.0 % (December 31, 2021: 30.4 %).
