Industry leader in the areas of environment, social and governance | MSCI confirms AAA rating | With 88 points (2023: 86 points), position in Sustainalytics’ ESG rating consolidated once again 

Glattpark (Opfikon), 6 September 2024 – Two important, independent ESG ratings (environment, social and governance) have confirmed Implenia’s position as industry leader.

In 2021, Implenia became the first company in the Construction & Engineering index of MSCI ESG Research to receive the highest-possible rating of AAA. With the reaffirmation of this rating, the construction and real estate service provider further consolidates its position as industry leader in sustainability while also achieving outstanding results in the area of corporate governance, in particular. MSCI ESG Research offers extensive research, assessments and analyses of the ESG-related activities of thousands of companies around the world.

Morningstar Sustainalytics, a leading independent ESG and corporate governance analysis company, also re-designated Implenia as “Industry Top Rated”. With 88 points (2023: 86 points) in the ESG rating for the three areas of environment, social and governance, Implenia has consolidated its leading position in the construction and engineering industry. This rating focuses on companies’ management of ESG topics as well as ongoing initiatives in this area.

Implenia remains one of the “Industry Top Rated” companies of Morningstar Sustainalytics’ ESG risk rating, where it ranks among the top 8% of the companies that were assessed in this industry. This ranking looks not only at the management of ESG topics, but also includes industry-specific ESG risks. Year-on-year improvements were seen in particular in the areas of renewable energies, human rights and corporate governance. Sustainalytics identified further improvement potential in especially with respect to the criteria carbon intensity and the environmental policies of its suppliers.
