Energiekontor sells wind park in Lower Saxony to Austrian power utility company Bremen, 27 December 2021 - Energiekontor, a leading German project developer and operator of wind and solar parks has sold the wind park "Völkersen" to an Austrian power utility company. The wind park is located in the municipality of Langwedel in the county Verden in Lower Saxony and is expected to be fully operational in 2022. The park consists of two wind turbines with a combined generation capacity of 11.2 MW. The annual yield of the wind park is expected to be more than 28m kilowatt hours, that is enough to provide green energy to almost 10,000 average German households. The wind park has been bought by an Austrian power utility company that since many years has a clear focus on electricity generation from renewable energy sources. Once the wind park is fully operational, Energiekontor will be in charge of technical and commercial management. "With the sale of the wind park Völkersen our very positive business development in 2021 continues also during the last days of the year. With many parks under construction as well as an attractive and well-filled project pipeline, we expect this positive trend to continue also in 2022", says Peter Szabo, CEO of Energiekontor AG.
