According to an analysis of preliminary numbers of DATA MODUL AG for the third quarter of 2021, sales decreased but EBIT increased compared to the same period of the previous year.

Bookings and order backlog were significantly higher than in the same quarter of the previous year.

In the third quarter of 2021, due to delivery shortages for suppliers, group-wide sales declined by approx. 6.7% to EUR 45.8 million in comparison to EUR 49.0 million in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2020.
Group-wide EBIT in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2021 amounted to EUR 3.1 million, marking an increase of approx. 11.5% in comparison to the same period of the previous year of EUR 2.8 million. The main reason for this are continued cost saving effects.

Bookings increased by approx. 17.8% to EUR 51.1 million in comparison to EUR 43.4 million for the same period of the previous year. The order backlog increased by approx. 25.7% to EUR 165.7 million in comparison to EUR 131.8 million for the same period of the previous year. The quarterly result of EUR 1.0 million and the profit per share of EUR 0.26 decreased by 43.7% and 45.8%, respectively, compared to EUR 1.7 million and EUR 0.48, respectively, for the same quarter of the previous year. This was caused by the effects of embedded foreign currency derivatives, which resulted from increased order volumes in foreign currencies in order to meet increased customer demand.

DATA MODUL AG will publish the definitive results for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2021 on November 5th, 2021.
