SIXT Supervisory Board appoints internationally experienced economic expert and KPMG regional Board member Kai Andrejewski new Chief Financial Officer as of June 2021 - The renowned financial expert and certified public accountant, currently regional Board member and Managing Partner at KPMG, has 25 years of international professional experience and will strengthen the Management Board of Sixt SE as of 1 June 2021 - Supervisory Board Chairman Friedrich Joussen: "Prof. Dr. Andrejewski's experience and knowledge make him the ideal person to continue to accompany SIXT's growth strategy with continuity as well as reliable and conservative financial planning. As of 1 June 2021, the Supervisory Board is appointing Prof. Dr. Kai Andrejewski (53) to the Management Board of Sixt SE to serve as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with responsibility for Global Financial Performance, Corporate Finance, Tax, Legal and Governance & Controls. The company is appointing Sebastian Birkel (38), a long-time SIXT manager and former CEO for SIXT USA, a divisional Board member for the new Global Financial Performance division, in which the areas of Finance, Controlling and Vehicle Purchasing are being bundled. The finance department is thus being expanded to include the important area of vehicle purchasing. The new structure underscores the holistic orientation of Sixt SE's finance division with the objective of dovetailing cross-divisional information requirements. Kai Andrejewski has over 25 years of impressive international experience, including 10 years as a regional Board member and Managing Partner at the renowned auditing firm KPMG. There, the Munich-based financial expert worked closely and successfully with global corporations in various industries for 18 years in total. The certified public accountant who holds a doctorate degree and tax consultant began his professional career in 1993 and held positions in Chicago, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Munich. As Managing Partner, he looked after well-known and globally active DAX and MDAX companies. He has also headed the KPMG Think Tank Audit Committee Institute since 2016. He was appointed Professor of Accounting and Auditing at the Private University of Applied Sciences in Göttingen in 2011. In his new role, Kai Andrejewski succeeds Jörg Bremer, who is leaving SIXT on 1 June 2021 on the best of terms to pursue new professional challenges.
