New Customer to Implement Aspera SmartTrack and SmartCollect Aachen - September 3, 2020 - Aspera, the world's leading provider of Software Asset Management (SAM) solutions and services, and part of the USU Group, has signed a large Belgian telecommunications group as one of its newest customers. The customer will begin using Aspera SmartTrack and SmartCollect to monitor its software assets. The broad scope and performance of the tools as well as the professional support offered by Aspera's consulting team were the decisive factors for the group in choosing Aspera. Once the implementation phase is completed, the customer will receive a "ready-to-use" SAM tool. This is possible because Aspera is the only SAM provider to offer a complete range of in-house services. The customer's goals include creating a precise license balance for its over 3,000 clients and 4,000 servers. This transparent overview will provide the customer with a stronger position for future contract negotiations with large software vendors. This will also significantly reduce audit risk. The customer's team will also receive project support from Aspera's experts who will assist the customer during implementation and with evaluating the initial results. Based on this package, the customer expects an ROI in the medium-term. "Our Software Asset Management tools will provide the customer with a decisive advantage," said Achim Rudolph, Managing Director at Aspera. "Professionally analyzing and controlling software assets provides tremendous leverage in achieving cost savings. Our experienced team is looking forward to helping our customer navigate this process."

In the early stages, these are experimental functionalities whose development process is largely determined by use and the resulting feedback from the community. When integrating external services or functionalities, the functionality can only be guaranteed to the extent that the individual process elements, such as interfaces, interact with each other.
