EQS-Ad-hoc: PLANOPTIK AG / Key word(s): Half Year Results PLANOPTIK AG: Half-year figures 2024 and outlook
According to preliminary figures, PLANOPTIK AG's consolidated sales in the first half of 2024 amounted to EUR 5,952 thousand (previous year: EUR 6,649 thousand). The decline in sales is due to what are likely to be temporary inventory adjustments at important customers. The newly acquired projects were unable to compensate for these declines in the first half of the year. EBITDA amounted to EUR 643 thousand (previous year: EUR 1,224 thousand), EBIT to EUR 272 thousand (previous year: EUR 864 thousand), EBT to EUR 300 thousand (previous year: EUR 843 thousand) and net profit for the first half of the year to EUR 204 thousand (previous year: EUR 610 thousand) For the full year 2024, PLANOPTIK AG continues to expect significantly lower Group sales and earnings than in the previous year. For the consolidated figures from 2025 onwards, however, PLANOPTIK AG expects a significant increase in sales and profits and a return to significant sales and earnings growth following the completion of the adjustment of customer inventories. At the same time as existing customers are expected to return to their usual orders, additional customers are expected to start series production based on wafers and microstructured elements as well as components from the PLANOPTIK Group from 2025. The half-year report will be published on August 20, 2024.
