Merger of the traditional companies HASEKE GmbH from Porta Westfalica and W. Krömker GmbH from Bückeburg.
Two hidden champions join forces and harness synergies The renowned traditional companies HASEKE GmbH and W. Krömker GmbH have merged to form the newly founded AMTRION GmbH in September 2022. The merger creates a company with annual sales of just under €30 million and over 100 employees at HASEKE GmbH's previous location in Porta Westfalica. Employees and customers alike benefit from the resulting synergies, which are also promoted by the owner GESCO AG. Planned long in advance As a wholly owned GESCO subsidiary, HASEKE is making a forward-looking change in the company's history. The acquisition in 2021 of United MedTec Holding GmbH (UMT), as well as the associated main operating company W. Krömker GmbH by GESCO AG, marked the beginning of the joint path of HASEKE and Krömker. The future orientation of the two companies was already firmly in sight at that time. UMT bundled the medical division within the GESCO Group. The merger of the hidden champions with extensive expertise in medical technology and industry was the decisive and logical step. Immediately after joining UMT, preparations for the now completed merger began. In the course of the past months, teams were able to grow together and operational as well as strategic synergies were leveraged with the aim of combining the best of both companies - in line with the motto "1+1=3". In the future, the business of the new AMTRION GmbH will be divided into the Industry and Medical divisions: The Industry division, with established and technically leading height-adjustable suspension arms and control box technology, and the Medical division, in which Krömker's innovative product portfolio, tailored to the needs of the medical sector, will be included in addition to the HASEKE products. Here you will find height-adjustable suspension arms, trollies, monitor supports, fixing systems and much more. Much will remain and yet be improved. "We have deliberately decided on a new name, although we want to carry on the values of Krömker and HASEKE in the future. As AMTRION GmbH, we combine the best of both companies. We are fit for the future, strongly positioned, innovative and a strategic partner for our customers," says Andreas Mühlenbeck, Managing Director of AMTRION GmbH. "For our business partners, all previous agreements continue. Only our names and appearance will change. Contact persons and bank details remain the same," he continues. "In recent months, the production lines have been successively transferred from Bückeburg to Porta Westfalica. In the next step, we will finally merge the two production sites in Porta Westfalica by the end of the year," adds Jürgen Roth, Co-Managing Director responsible for Production and Technology. The bundling of competences within production, development, but also in procurement are only some of the positive effects of this merger. HASEKE, a leader in the development and manufacture of ergonomic, technically sophisticated suspension arm systems as well as control box technology, and Krömker, the European market leader for suspension arm systems in medical technology and innovation leader for individual mobile trollies, complement each other ideally. Both companies are united by their focus on technically and qualitatively high-grade products as well as decades of experience.
