Cologne, 12 February 2025 – Vagabund Brauerei FB GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of DF Deutsche Forfait AG (ISIN: DE000A2AA204) (DF AG), has acquired the well-known cider brand ‘OBC-Cider’. With this strategic decision, Vagabund is specifically expanding its product portfolio with an established cider brand and will optimally utilise the existing sales and marketing capacities on both sides to distribute all products. ‘Cider drinks are very popular both in supermarkets and in the catering trade,’ says CEO Hans-Joachim von Wartenberg, explaining one of the reasons behind the brand purchase. ‘In addition, by purchasing the recipes and customer network of OBC Cider, we are complementing our non-alcoholic product Hopfenwasser and our beer range and can therefore offer our guests and customers more variety in future.’ The expansion of the product range and the targeted utilisation of synergies will significantly strengthen the brewery's position as an innovative and independent supplier on the beverage market. The purchase took effect on 4 February 2025.
