Schaltbau Holding AG: SBRS makes high-performance charging solutions available throughout Europe in collaboration with MAN Truck & Bus

Munich, 15 September 2020 - Via its subsidiary SBRS, the specialist for DC high-performance charging technology, Schaltbau Holding AG [ISIN: DE000A2NBTL2] has entered into a sales cooperation agreement with MAN Truck & Bus. Under the terms of the arrangement, MAN Truck & Bus will offer state-of-the-art charging infrastructure made by SBRS with up to 300 kW charging capacity together its battery-driven commercial vehicles across 28 European countries.

"With this step we are systematically expanding our market presence in Europe," said Thomas Milewski, Managing Director of SBRS GmbH. "We are delighted that MAN Truck & Bus has decided to select us as a technology partner and deploy our innovative charging solutions. The move represents a seamless continuation of our success in the local public transport sector, where we currently have over 65 MW of installed charging capacity at over 20 locations."

The new range offered by MAN Truck & Bus is available in 28 European countries. It covers a broad range of equipment, from mobile charging devices to solutions specially designed for large fleets. The mobile charging equipment can be flexibly deployed in depots and is not permanently installed. Moreover, the SBRS range covers devices from 50 kW to 300 kW charging capacity, making it possible to offer every MAN customer a future-proof, tailor-made solution. Multiples of vehicles can also be charged from one single station. The charging stations are manufactured in accordance with the highest industrial standards and extremely efficient. Within the terms of this cooperation, SBRS can also provide customers with installation and other services so that charging stations can be swiftly made available again in case of malfunction.

Stefan Sahlmann, Head of MAN Transport Solutions, assessing the new range: "We believe that customers expect a comprehensive range of devices to cover their e-mobility requirements. In addition to broadly based advice regarding the transition to electrically powered commercial vehicles, it also includes services that cover the complex topics of charging and energy."

SBRS' individually configurable e-mobility solutions combine the Schaltbau Group's expertise in the field of energy systems together with its ability to develop customised applications. The high-performance fast-charging stations designed by SBRS are suitable for both public transport scenarios and a variety of mobility applications for modern commercial vehicles. Furthermore, SBRS is already represented with chargers for maritime applications. With the current generation of devices, charging point capacities of up to one megawatt are currently being realised. The next evolutionary stage with significantly higher performance is already in development. The increasingly strict regulations introduced to protect the climate and improve the quality of air in our cities and municipalities are driving the growing demand for the Schaltbau Group's e-mobility solutions.
