Herr Peter Zils, stellvertretender Vorstandsvorsitzender der ecotel communication ag, hat heute dem Aufsichtsrat die Niederlegung seines Vorstandsmandats mit Wirkung zum Ablauf der kommenden ordentlichen Hauptversammlung am 21. April 2023 angekündigt. Herr Zils, der ebenfalls Aktionär der Gesellschaft mit einem Anteil von mehr als 25% ist, hat zeitgleich das Interesse bekundet, vorbehaltlich der aktienrechtlichen Bedingungen und der entsprechenden Beschlussfassung der Hauptversammlung, mit Wirkung ab Beendigung der diesjährigen ordentlichen Hauptversammlung Mitglied des Aufsichtsrats der Gesellschaft zu werden und somit Herrn Dr. Norbert Bensel, der aufgrund des Erreichens der Regelaltersgrenze ausscheiden wird, im Aufsichtsrat zu ersetzen. Peter Zils gründete die ecotel communication ag am 30. Januar 1998 und leitete die Gesellschaft bis zum 30. September 2021 als alleiniger Vorstandsvorsitzender. Mit der Niederlegung des Vorstandsmandats vollzieht Herr Zils den letzten konsequenten Schritt, die Führung der Gesellschaft in die Hände von Herrn Markus Hendrich zu legen, der bereits ab dem 1. Oktober 2021 gemeinsam mit Herrn Zils als Co-Vorstandsvorsitzender agierte und seit dem 1. September 2022 alleiniger Vorstandsvorsitzender ist. Herr Dr. Bensel ist seit 2010 Mitglied im Aufsichtsrat und hat nach mehr als 8 Jahren den Vorsitz im September letzten Jahres an Herrn Uwe Nickl übergeben.
