PRESSEMITTEILUNG PUMA ernennt Javier Ortega zum General Manager Europe
Herzogenaurach, 23. August 2023 – Das Sportunternehmen PUMA hat Javier Ortega (51) zum General Manager Europe ernannt. Ab 1. September 2023 ist Javier für die Regionen Zentraleuropa, Frankreich, UK & Irland, Südeuropa und Nordeuropa verantwortlich. Javier, der seit 2009 bei PUMA ist und zuletzt als Area General Manager für Südeuropa tätig war, folgt auf Richard Teyssier, der im Juli die Rolle des Global Brand & Marketing Directors übernommen hat. „In seiner Zeit als Area General Manager in Südeuropa hat Javier einen großartigen Job gemacht, die Marke PUMA zu stärken und unser Wachstum in Südeuropa voranzutreiben“, sagt PUMA CEO Arne Freundt. „In seiner neuen Rolle als General Manager Europe wird Javier auf dem starken Momentum der Region aufbauen, unsere Position als der beste Partner für unsere Großhändler stärken und den Go-to-Market Prozess koordinieren.“ Esteve Planas (47) wird der Nachfolger von Javier als Area General Manager Südeuropa. Er hatte zwischen 2010 und 2022 verschiede Positionen in der Finanzabteilung von PUMA inne, unter anderem als CFO von PUMA Spanien und PUMA Iberien. In diesen Rollen hat er die erfolgreiche Wachstumsstrategie des Unternehmens in Südeuropa mitgestaltet. Er kehrt zu PUMA zurück, nachdem er seit Anfang 2023 CFO des spanischen Pharmaunternehmens Galenicum war.
