STS Group AG eröffnet US-Werk in Salem im US-Bundesstaat Virginia
Hagen, 10. März 2023 – Die STS Group AG (ISIN: DE000A1TNU68), ein im General Standard der Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse notierter, weltweit tätiger Systemlieferant für die Automobilindustrie, eröffnet ihren ersten Produktionsstandort in den USA im ehemaligen General Electric-Werk in der Stadt Salem im US-Bundesstaat Virginia. Damit schafft das Unternehmen 119 neue Arbeitsplätze in der Region. Erste Prototypen laufen noch 2023 vom Band, die Serienproduktion fährt im Januar 2024 hoch. Das Werk wird als Tochtergesellschaft der STS Group North America betrieben und stärkt die Position der Region als Zentrum des Automobilbaus. Das neue Werk wird die Lkw-Montage von Volvo Trucks in Pulaski County sowie andere Lkw- und Automobilwerke im gesamten Mittleren Westen und Südosten der USA beliefern. Salem ist ein idealer Standort für die STS Group, um den Footprint in den USA auszubauen, bestehende Kunden vor Ort zu betreuen und das Kundenportfolio zu erweitern. Mit dem neuen Werk kommt unser Projekt in seine finale Phase. Damit sind wir in der Lage, weiteres Wachstum in der Region zu generieren. Wir nutzen dazu keinen Neubau, sondern widmen ein bestehendes Werk um.
