Homann Holzwerkstoffe GmbH: Permits issued for the start of operations at the new plant in Lithuania
Munich, March 7, 2025 – The management of Homann Holzwerkstoffe GmbH, one of Europe's leading suppliers of thin, refined wooden fibreboard for the furniture, doors and coatings industries, has decided to initiate the commissioning of the new plant in Lithuania, near the capital Vilnius. All the necessary permits based on the applications submitted were issued during February 2025. The start of the plant had previously been delayed because the existing environmental permit was considered insufficiently robust to enable cost-effective and competitive production. Fritz Homann, Managing Director of Homann Holzwerkstoffe GmbH: “The plant in Lithuania is an integral part of our long-term expansion strategy. We are very pleased that we have succeeded in obtaining the necessary permits and that commissioning can take place in the next few weeks. We have thus reached an important milestone in the strategic development of Homann Holzwerkstoffe Group.” The 2024 consolidated financial statements of Homann Holzwerkstoffe Group will be published as planned on 25 April 2025.
