In the case of business relationships that are established electronically, it is in the nature of things that customer relationship management follows different processes than when you go to the house bank around the corner, where you know your advisor personally and with whom you can quickly exchange information on current topics. People know each other. In a customer relationship in the online world, providers and users rarely know each other personally. The world is fast-paced; registering to use a service is done in a matter of seconds. Digital is international, service providers and users are only a mouse click away from each other. The online world knows no distances or physical borders, creating a global ecosystem that digitally connects people in many regions.

Even though the digital world is different from what surrounds us directly, the same basic rules apply in almost all areas. Often it is only the communication medium that makes the difference in how users approach a provider and vice versa. On this page, we have compiled important reasons for you, which should make it easy for you to understand why we contact you on a regular basis or on an ad hoc basis, for example to ask you to check whether the information we have on file is up to date.

Our lives evolve dynamically. Due to a job change, the address at which one can be reached changes temporarily or permanently. Due to a marriage, the last name changes. The change of an e-mail provider is completed within a few minutes. The mobile phone number changes from time to time. The list of possible constellations, as a result of which fundamental basic data of a business relationship changes, could be continued. The small excerpt is to be sufficient however already, in order to sensitize for a topic that in the daily life understandably not always immediately the highest value takes.

A service provider, i.e. the business partner with whom a user has entered into a business relationship, has no possibility of gaining knowledge of changed data. The only exception is if the user proactively communicates any changes or confirms that the stored data is still up to date.

Keeping data up to date is not an end in itself

It is not only in the interest of the provider to reach its users. There is an obligation to provide information on certain factual topics, which is determined by law. There is a code of obligations from which legal consequences arise. In the offline world, terms such as "Hol- oder Bringschuld" exist. These can be transferred to the digital world for processes of information acquisition, processing and communication. In addition to the duty to inform, the user himself also has a right to information, for example, in order to be informed about new developments that have a positive effect for him or in which additional value is added in connection with a service used or in which he can benefit or participate in some other way. It is also conceivable that, due to a change in interest, the previous user of a service no longer wishes to use it. This information must reach the responsible body so that it can be implemented in accordance with the addressed concern. Finally, this also means that as long as a business relationship is active, minimum criteria for communication must be defined.

Customer communication has no promotional components

When we communicate with users about factual topics on the basis of the business relationship, this does not involve promotional information, but rather information that directly affects the customer relationship. One use case could be that legal conditions have changed or are changing, new IT systems are being introduced, or that additional functionalities are available for use. As can be seen from the above examples, keeping contact data up to date is an essential foundation of corporate communications.

Periodic updates

If you are reading these lines, you were probably previously asked to perform an update or confirmation in your user account. The update itself does not involve any major effort on your part. You only need to check once whether the data that you had deposited with us at the time of the establishment of the business relationship or in the course of an earlier update, still correspond to the current status.

A request for updating can be made periodically at predefined intervals or on an occasion-related basis. For this purpose, we send notifications to the e-mail address on file with us. To protect your interests, maintain confidentiality and ensure data protection, we store the message in your electronic mailbox, which you will find in the closed user account available only to you.

Reminder / Reminders

We are aware of the fact that the flood of e-mails today can hardly be managed in a meaningful way. Something is quickly overlooked or forgotten. But don't worry, we have developed a solution for this as well, which corresponds to the systematics of a reminder. If our system does not recognize an update, we will send you a reminder with a time delay.

Digital information management

The fast pace of time requires new ways of dealing with the challenges of the future in the best possible way. The previously rather long-term intervals are being replaced by shorter periods. Thus, once a year, 12 months after the last update, we will send you a notification asking you to briefly log in to the user account to confirm the stored data.

No contact possible

We have described above scenarios that can lead to changes in contact information. In very unfavorable cases, a combination of individual factors can result in a user not being able to be reached via any of the specified communication channels (e-mail, postal address, telephone number, mobile). In constellations such as these, it is impossible for us to approach Person and provide information. The resulting consequences are generally uncritical, but the presentation of the situation itself makes it clear that interaction on the part of the user would be necessary to keep data up to date once it has been shared, in the user's own interest.

If we do not reach you

Even if we are unable to reach you, this does not mean that the customer relationship will be unilaterally terminated on our part. We basically assume that as long as no request for scheduling is sent to us, the desire to continue dominates. Ultimately, it may also be that certain features such as badges or rewards are associated with the duration of the affiliation, which expire upon termination of the service relationship.

I had terminated

If you believe that you had already submitted a notice of termination, please check whether this may have been a termination of the customer relationship with the financial services provider with whom you held your trading account. From a legal perspective, this was a legal entity based in London, which in turn terminated the long-standing business relationship with the social trading provider ayondo at the end of 2019. If you have given notice to this company, this did not result in a termination with ayondo. Since the Brexit, there are no contractual agreements or business relationships with these companies.

Another note refers to the subscription to newsletters. Unsubscribing from this service is not the same as cancelling the business relationship. In this respect, it may be possible that you continue to receive notifications from ayondo despite unsubscribing.

Special features

If you have made use of the option to create user accounts with several different email addresses in the past, these user accounts are not considered as a whole, but individually. Accordingly, there may be situations where you receive a notification even though you believe you have either unsubscribed (newsletter) or cancelled (registration). Please check your records to see if the action was taken, and if so, for which user account or subscription.

Complete termination of the customer relationship

Sometimes in life there are situations when a journey you started together ends. As mentioned above, the customer relationship is to be terminated by the one who initiated it. Although we do not want to lose any of our valued users, we respect this decision and make it easy for you to take the related action. There is a corresponding function (cancellation button) available in the user account for the cancellation.

The distinction between the types of information is not always immediately apparent to an untrained eye. However, you can be sure that we will take due care to protect the data you entrust to us and will only use it in cases where the framework in place for this purpose makes it necessary. In addition, you have the opportunity to contact the data protection officer at any time.

For registered users of our services who have not heard from us in a while, you can trust that we will only contact you if it is essential or if you have authorized us to do so.
