STOCKHOLM, April 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Sandvik has received a major order from South32 to supply an underground mining equipment fleet for its greenfield Hermosa critical minerals project in Arizona, US. The majority of the order consists of battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) and is Sandvik's largest ever for BEVs. The order is valued at around SEK 750 million and was booked in the second quarter 2025.

The order includes battery-electric trucks, loaders, bolters, development drills and longhole drills, as well as conventional trucks, cable bolters, loaders and longhole drills. Deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter 2026 and continue through 2030, with most of the deliveries expected in 2026 and 2027.

STOCKHOLM, April 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Sandvik has signed an agreement to acquire Osa Demolition Equipment S.r.l. (OSA), an Italy-based manufacturer of demolition tools and hydraulic hammers. OSA will be reported as a business unit within the Attachment Tools division in the business area Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions. 

OSA's range of attachment tools will enhance Sandvik's offering and position in the demolition and recycling segment. Furthermore, the acquisition will provide additional growth opportunities by leveraging Sandvik's large network of distributors. Today, OSA's main market is within Europe, and the company also has presence in Australia and the U.S.

STOCKHOLM, March 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Sandvik has been awarded a major order for a fleet of underground mining equipment from the Peruvian mining company Compañia de Minas Buenaventura (Buenaventura). The order is valued at approximately SEK 320 million and was booked in the first quarter 2025.

The order includes loaders and drills, which will be used at three of Buenaventura's underground mines; El Brocal, Yumpag and Uchucchacua. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter 2025 and continue through the first quarter 2026. In addition to the equipment order, Sandvik will supply spare parts, components and maintenance service during the lifetime of the equipment.
